Monique C. Viger, 76, of Biddeford and Lyman died Monday May 31, 2010 at the Gosnell Hospice House in Scarborough after a long illness. She was born in Dixville, PQ, Canada on October 15, 1933 a son of Edouard C. and Mederise Tanguay Viger and was educated in Canadian and Biddeford schools graduating from the former St. Joseph High School in the class of 1952.
As a young girl, Mrs. Viger worked at J.J. Newbury Co. in Biddeford.
On August 13, 1955 she married Leopold R. “Paul” Viger in St. Joseph Church in Biddeford.
Mrs. Viger worked for the New England Telep[hone Co. for several years. She later worked part-time for W.T. Grant Co. in Biddeford.
She served as a den mother for troop 308 and did volunteer work at York Manor. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and TOPS of Biddeford and Lyman.
She was predeceased by a daughter Elizabeth Viger in 1964 and 2 brothers, Hilarion “Larry” Leblanc & Charles Edward Leblanc.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, June 3, 2010 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm Street, Biddeford, ME 04005. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 4, 2010 at St. Philip’s Church in Lyman.
